The ‘No Boarding Rule’

Before traveling to Singapore it is important to know about the ‘No Boarding rule’ in Singapore. It was effected from January 2026. Under this system, the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) carries out digital screening at the check-in counter in India itself, before the traveler boards the flight.

If there are any errors in the SG Arrival Card, visa status, or passport validity, the traveler can be denied boarding at the departure gate in India. Travelers must submit their Singapore Arrival Card at least three days before traveling and ensure all documents are in order before heading to the airport. Airlines are also held responsible for boarding passengers who have been denied entry by ICA and face fines if they do so.
