This 5 nights 6 days Classic Tour of Amritsar, Dharamshala and Dalhousie starts from Mcleodganj. Mcleodganj, is famously known as “Little Lhasa (Tibet) of India” and is situated in the outskirts of Dharamshala. It is a small and beautiful hill station with a blend of Tibetan and Indian culture situated at a height of 2082 mts (6831 feet). The place is nestled amidst the mighty hills of Dhauladhars and is a great weekend getaway for people living in Chandigarh,New Delhi, Gurgaon, Ambala and other neighbouring cities.

The view from the top of the Kangra Valley is something which is not to be missed. The Dalai Lama Temple and Tibetan Museum will let you get an insight about the Tibetan people, their life, culture, philosophy and much more.

From Dalhousie, we’ll be heading off to Kalatop Trek. This trek lies amidst the Kalatop Khajjiar wildlife sanctuary, which lies in the Chamba district of the Himachal Pradesh. The trek takes you amidst dense deodar forests and fir trees away from Dalhousie. There are also pine and coniferous trees and Himalayan vistas surrounding which makes it a really scenic trek.

Amritsar is a city in the state of Punjab which is historically known as “Ramdaspur”. The city of Amritsar is formed around the majestic Golden Temple, the world’s most important pilgrimage site for Sikhs. At Wagah Border,  every day at 4.15pm in the winter and 5.15pm in the summer, the border between India and Pakistan hosts a colourful, competitive dance show. Thousands of people visit to cheer for India each day, and you’ll also see people supporting Pakistan on the other side of the border. This is a must visit place when you come to Amritsar, as you will get a feel and pride of being an Indian national while you are here.  Jallianwala Bagh memorial lies in the heart of Amritsar is dedicated to the hundreds of Indians who were brutally massacred at the hands of the British, all for holding a peaceful protest.
