Bandhavgarh National Park is a national park located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh which is spread over 716km² and the most interesting part about this national park is that the tiger visibility is upto 8 per kilometer which is one of the highest in India.
Apart from Bengal Tiger, this place is home to other species such as Asiatic jackal, Bengal fox, sloth bear, Ratel, gray mongoose, striped hyena, jungle cat, Chausingha, Nilgai, Chinkara and Gaur, to name some. In terms of reptilian fauna, the park houses the cobra, krait, viper, ratsnake, python, turtle and lizard species like the varanus.
The best time to visit for the tourists is during the winter (October to March) and monsoon period (July to September) season as the temperature remains pleasant through the day.
