Madhya Pradesh is the second largest state in India and is often called the ‘Heart of India’ due to its central location. The state is rich in its culture, tradition and history and the origins of the state can be traced back to 500,000 years back. There are various avenues to explore in Madhya Pradesh for every type of traveller, be it for art, history lovers or adventure seekers.

We start our 3 nights 4 days Bandhavgarh National Park Tour from the city of Jabalpur. Jabalpur is one of the most important cities of Madhya Pradesh and is also known as the ‘City of Rocks’ due to granite boulders and other huge boulders which are common throughout the city. There are some famous trekking sites and national parks which are accessible from the city of Jabalpur. While you are in Jabalpur, don’t miss out on the local markets and delicacies while you go out for a stroll in the evening.

Bandhavgarh National Park is a national park located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh which is spread over 716km² and the most interesting part about this national park is that the tiger visibility is upto 8 per kilometer which is one of the highest in India.

Apart from Bengal Tiger, this place is home to other species such as Asiatic jackal, Bengal fox, sloth bear, Ratel, gray mongoose, striped hyena, jungle cat, Chausingha, Nilgai, Chinkara and Gaur, to name some. In terms of reptilian fauna, the park houses the cobra, krait, viper, ratsnake, python, turtle and lizard species like the varanus.

The best time to visit for the tourists is during the winter (October to March) and monsoon period (July to September) season as the temperature remains pleasant through the day.
