Bhrigu Lake is a high altitude sacred lake situated at an altitude of 4300 metres in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The lake is oval shaped and lies near the Rohtang pass. The lake got its name from a sage named Bhrigu. According to locals, the sage Bhrigu used to meditate near the lake and that is why the lake became sacred. The trek begins from a point called Chaudda Morh, which is around 20 km from Manali. The trek passes through virgin forests, large meadows, mountain ridges and finally one gets to see the lake.

Your trekking trip to Bhrigu Lake starts from Manali. You will be picked up from Manali and we will start our road journey to Gulaba, which is located on the Rohtang-Manali highway. After reaching there, begin your trek towards your first campsite, Raulikholi which is situated at the base of Bhrigu Dome peak. The campsite is also famous for its large green meadows. In winters these meadows become skiing slopes.
The initial trek is through pine forests which leads to the vast green meadows of Rauli kholi. From the campsite, you will have magnificent views of Pir Panjal ranges of Himalayas, Hanuman Tibba and other snowcapped peaks. After reaching at the campsite, we setup our camps and relax.
Dinner and overnight stay in camps.
Wake up early and after breakfast, we will leave for Bhrigu Lake. The trek to Bhrigu lake from Rauli Kholi is steep all the way except the initial stretch. While trekking, you will be walking over the mountain ridge and getting some amazing views of Manali valley. After reaching the lake, enjoy the views and have your packed lunch. Later, we start our trek back to Raulikholi, which will be our campsite for the day. Enjoy the sunset.
Dinner and overnight stay at camps.
This will be your last trek day. After breakfast, we will start our downhill trek to Gulaba by retracing the same route which we take while ascending. The downhill trek will be easy but can be slippery during rainy season. We will reach Gulaba by afternoon and then drive back to Manali.
