Overview
The Brahmatal Trek is the perfect Christmas and New Year adventure, offering an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Himalayas. Stretching across 24 km, this trek showcases some of the most magnificent peaks, including Mt. Chaukhamba, Mt. Neelkanth, and Mt. Hathi Ghoda. With its breathtaking scenery—from majestic mountains to snow-laden trails, serene high-altitude lakes, and lush green forests—Brahmatal is truly mesmerizing. For those who love capturing beautiful moments, the stunning winter landscape provides countless Insta-worthy opportunities, especially when the sun illuminates the pristine snow.
This 6-day, 5-night trek begins in Lohajung, located about 300 km from Dehradun. After an overnight stay and dinner in Lohajung, we’ll gear up for our journey the next morning. Our trek package balances adventure and enjoyment, with our trek leader providing a briefing session each day to ensure everyone is well-prepared. As we ascend towards the peak, we'll be rewarded with stunning views of the Kail Valley. By dusk, we’ll arrive at our campsite nestled among oak trees by Bekaltal Lake, where we'll retire for the night.
On the following day, we’ll trek to Brahmatal Lake, which takes approximately 5 hours. Here, we’ll set up camp, enjoying dinner with the scenic valleys of Nainital and Almora as our backdrop. The highlight of the trek comes when we make our way to the Brahmatal summit, where we’ll witness breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks in the Garhwal region, including Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti. After setting up camp at the summit, we’ll spend a magical night under the starry skies, surrounded by majestic mountains.
Finally, we’ll descend back to Lohajung, concluding our trek with dinner and an overnight stay. The next morning, after a warm cup of tea, we’ll drive towards Rishikesh, parting ways with cherished memories and smiles on our faces. The Brahmatal Trek is loved by solo travelers, first-timers, and seasoned trekkers alike, making it one of the best winter treks in India.

Accommodation: 2 Nights in a Hotel / Homestay on a triple/quad sharing basis and 3 Nights Tented accommodation on a triple sharing basis. Transportation: Surface transfer from Rishikesh - Lohajung - Rishikesh by Sumo / Bolero / Tempo Traveler ( Depends on the number of travelers). Meals: All Meals from (day 1 Dinner to day 6 Morning Tea) are included. We provide simple nutritious vegetarian food on all days of the trek. Snacks: Morning / Evening Tea / Coffee with light snacks and soup while on the trek. Camping logistics: Trekking tent, Sleeping bags, Mattresses, Dining tent, Kitchen tent and Toilet tent. Trek Leader Qualified and Experienced Trek leader and support staff. Permits: All necessary fees and permits.(For Indians) Trekking Equipment: Gaiters, Micro Spikes, and Rope if required. Safety Equipment: Walkie / Talkie, Basic First Aid kit with Oximeter, Blood Pressure Monitor and Oxygen Cylinder. Guide ratio: Local experience guide ( depends on the group size). Credit Note :
The Booking Amount will be credited to your JW Profile which can be accessed by logging in to the website through your Phone Number & OTP. Credit Notes issued have no date of expiry and can be used entirely in any of your future trips.
GST :
Any GST charged on any transaction will not be refunded.
Pending Refund :
Any refund pending on your booking will be credited to the same mode of payment through which you paid in 5-7 working days.
Partial Refund :
Any case in which a partial refund will be issued will be calculated after deducting the Booking Amount and Cancellation Charges depending on the time of Cancellation.
Remaining Amount :
Will be calculated on the amount paid over and above the booking amount.
Bypass Policy :
Any and all Cancellation Policies are superseded by the Emergency Case Cancellation Policy in case of situations such as war, pandemics, force majeure, or similar extraordinary events affecting the tour region.

Had an amazing experience while doing the Sar Pass trek solely because our trek leader Vishal was an amazing human being who understood the team we'll adapted to our capabilities. Some of us were slow, but that was never a problem for him, he just continued being his cheerful self and encouraged us to move on. Vishal also displayed proper planning and leadership skill.
The trek was breathtaking in itself although slightly challenging so I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. I would grade it as moderate coz of the steepness of it at certain places.
