This trip could be called “Mother of all trips” and we aren’t even kidding. Ladakh and Spiti, the dream destinations to visit in India all in one go. Places so different, yet so similar. Brace for adventure all around as we take you on a 13 nights 14 days Astonishing Leh Ladakh with Spiti Valley Tour Package.
Both Ladakh and Spiti have vast barren landscapes, snow capped mountain peaks, high altitude lakes, beautiful Buddhist monasteries, warmth of local people and delicious Tibetan food.
We start our journey from Leh, which is the capital city of Ladakh. Leh is known for its Buddhist sites and nearby trekking areas. Massive 17th-century Leh Palace, modeled on the Dalai Lama’s former home (Tibet’s Potala Palace), overlooks the old town’s bazaar and mazelike lanes.
There are some famous places to explore in the city of Leh such as Spituk Monastery, which is one of the oldest monasteries in Leh, dating back to the 11th century. Experience the confluence of two massive rivers, Indus and Zanskar, while in Leh.
From Leh we head off to Nubra Valley after crossing Khardungla Pass, which is the highest motorable road in the world, which is located at an altitude of 3,048mts. It is a high altitude cold desert, which means it has scant vegetation and green cover. Wherever your eyes go, you’ll see vast barren lands, covered with sands and rocks which gives it a surreal look.
Diskit Monastery is the oldest and largest monastery in the Nubra Valley, with origins going back to the 14th century. Diskit Gompa is also famous for the statue of a protector deity (Kali) holding the head and arm of a medieval Mongol soldier.
Pangong Lake is situated at an altitude of 4,350mts and is a saline lake. It is 134kms long and extends from India into China. The lake is so beautiful and serene with its calm, glimmering blue water, that many Bollywood movies have been shot here, most famous being 3 Idiots. The crystal clear waters of the lake shine in many shades of blue depending upon its depth and with the sunlight. The journey from Leh to Spiti valley and Spiti valley to Ladakh is filled with adventure and thrill.
Tso Moriri is a surreal saline lake located at 4,522mts and in Tibetan Language is known as “Mountain Lake”. Stunning reflections of nearby mountains and white clouds set against the clear blue sky make Tso Moriri seem like a giant mirror and one of the not-to-miss places to visit in Ladakh
The second leg of the trip starts from Kaza, which is the most developed town in the Spiti Valley of Trans Himalayan Ranges.
Kaza is the gateway to Hikkim which houses the highest Post Office in the world, and you may send a letter to a dear one from there if you like. You should also stop at the Key monastery which is at 12 KM from Kaza. Along with its historical importance, the Tibetan monastery provides a panoramic view.
18 KM from Kaza, you can visit Kibber, which is one of the highest inhabited villages in Spiti Valley at 14,200 ft. above sea level. Roam around the village to take in the culture or have a tour of the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Spiti valley is also known for its streams and lakes. Among them, ChandraTal Lake is a famous one because of its shape and the crystal blue water. You can also enjoy camping in Spiti Valley which is organized near the beautiful lake. Also, experience the vast meadows which turn lit green in summers. This Leh Ladakh trip with Spiti valley is a dream of every traveler because it is more than just a trip, it is an emotion.

This adventure, often called the Ultimate Ladakh & Spiti Tour, runs for 13 Nights and 14 Days. The package price starts from approximately ₹74,000, covering all major aspects like meals, stays, and transfers across these two high-altitude regions.
The ideal time to book the Leh Ladakh with Spiti Valley package is during the summer season (typically June to September). This window is essential as the high mountain passes linking the two regions must be open to complete the full circuit.
Acclimatization is critically important for safety on this high-altitude tour. The itinerary dedicates the entire first day to Arrival at Leh Airport + Acclimatization Only to ensure your body adjusts safely before venturing to passes like Khardungla.
The tour includes visits to the most stunning lakes: the famous Pangong Lake and the serene Tso Moriri Lake in Ladakh, as well as the beautiful, crescent-shaped Chandratal Lake in Spiti Valley, where camping is often organized.
The Spiti portion of the trip highlights several unique villages, including Hikkim, home to the World's Highest Post Office, and Kibber village, which is one of the highest inhabited villages in the valley.
You will visit significant Buddhist heritage sites such as the Key Monastery (Ki Gompa) near Kaza, Diskit Monastery in Nubra Valley, and the ancient Spituk Monastery in Leh. The tour also includes the Buddha statue in Langza (Fossil Village).
This grand, one-way circuit is designed to optimize travel time, with the Pick-up in Leh (Ladakh) and the final Drop in Manali (Himachal Pradesh), ensuring comprehensive coverage of both valleys.
You will cross the Khardungla Pass (historically known as the highest motorable road in the world), necessary to reach Nubra Valley, and other high passes that connect the Ladakh and Spiti regions.
While both are high-altitude cold deserts, Ladakh offers more developed roads and focuses on grander lakes, while Spiti Valley is considered more remote, rugged, and authentic, focusing on ancient monasteries and a more traditional village life.
The trip is perfect for adventure seekers, offering the chance for wildlife spotting, exploring the Pin Valley National Park, thrilling drives across high bridges, and enjoying the magnificent stargazing opportunities in Kaza.
