This Mysore and Coorg tour package, designed by JustWravel, is to give you a complete experience of Karnataka’s cultural richness and natural beauty. The journey covers the royal charm of Mysore and the serene landscapes of Coorg (Madikeri), making it one of the most popular tour packages to Mysore and Coorg. Starting from Mangalore to Coorg and Mysore, this trip blends history, spirituality, and scenic attractions into a comfortable itinerary. If you explore these places during monsoon, then the experience will be magical!
Your trip with JustWravel begins after your arrival at Mangalore Airport/ Railway Station. After that our representative will take you on an impressive ride from Mangalore Airport towards Coorg.
Coorg is often called the “Scotland of India” and for the right reasons. Tucked away in the lush folds of the Western Ghats, Coorg captivates travelers with its emerald valleys, aromatic coffee estates, and timeless traditions.
Coorg’s charm lies in its soothing mist, cascading waterfalls, and trails that wind through dense forests and spice-laden plantations. Beyond its natural splendor, Coorg invites visitors to discover an authentic cultural essence of ancient temples, local Kodava hospitality, and the rhythmic hum of village life that flourishes amidst the hills.
Once you arrive in Coorg, take the day to relax, settle in, and get ready for the experiences planned for the next day. Next day, after having a filling breakfast you will begin your full day immersion in Coorg by getting blessings from The Omkareshwara Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This white-painted temple, surrounded by a calm water pond will make you feel truly magical.
After absorbing the positive energy from the temple, move towards another serene spot in Coorg at Abbey Falls. Abbey Falls is one of the most visited waterfalls in the region, surrounded by aromatic coffee plantations. Spend some quiet time here, take in the sound of cascading water, and enjoy the calm atmosphere that defines this tranquil spot.
Now, it’s time to visit the historic Madikeri Fort. This fort was enhanced by Tipu Sultan. Madikeri Fort and its museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts. These include ancient coins, historic weapons, stone sculptures, and tribal objects that reflect the martial traditions and cultural fabric of the Kodava people. The museum also preserves memorabilia of Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa, India's first Army Chief from Coorg, including his medals and personal belongings.
Afterwards, you will be coming in close vicinity of actual elephants at The Dubare Elephant Camp. This place provides a rare chance to observe and learn about elephants up close. After spending some time with wildlife you will continue your day by visiting the Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery). This monastery highlights the Tibetan influence in Bylakuppe, one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India.
Afterward, the day calls for a serene ending at the tranquil Honnamana Kere Lake. Surrounded by hills and lush greenery, this lake offers a peaceful retreat where you can enjoy a quiet stroll before heading back to your hotel for the night.
After exploring Coorg, the tour continues in a scenic ride towards Mysore. After reaching there, you can unwind and explore the local markets of Mysore.
Next morning, after breakfast, you will start your day at the cultural capital of Karnataka: Mysore. Once the seat of the Wodeyar dynasty, Mysore reflects grandeur through its palaces and temples.
Your day will begin with a visit to the majestic Mysuru Palace, a fine example of Indo-Saracenic architecture that reflects the city’s royal heritage. The palace interiors, adorned with intricate artwork, the golden throne, and the grand Durbar Hall and Kalyanamantapa, showcase the opulence of the Wodeyar dynasty.
Then, you will move ahead towards The Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysore Zoo). This zoo was established in 1892, is one of India’s oldest and most well-maintained zoos.
Afterwards, your next stop will be On Chamundi Hill, where you will seek blessings at the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple. This temple holds immense religious importance, with mythology linking it to Goddess Durga’s victory over Mahishasura. The goddess is worshipped as a protector of the kingdom and its people, especially during the grand Mysore Dasara festival, which celebrates her victory.
Then, you will visit The Melody World Wax Museum, which showcases development of musical instruments throughout ages and wax figures, offering a unique cultural experience.
For the last stop of the day, visit the Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, located near Srirangapatna. This sanctuary is a paradise for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts. It is home to several native and migratory bird species set amidst tranquil backwaters. After a full day of exploration, you will route back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Next day, after breakfast, we will transfer you towards Bangalore airport/ Railway station and this is how your spectacular trip to Coorg and Mysore will end.
This Mysore and Coorg package tour is ideal for families, couples, and culture seekers who wish to explore the best of Karnataka in comfort. Whether you are choosing this Mysore and Coorg tour package from Bangalore during monsoon or any other city, it provides a well-balanced combination of heritage, wildlife, and natural attractions — all within five memorable days.
