Ziro Festival of Arunachal Pradesh is one of the grandest outdoor music festivals in India. Conceived in 2012 by Bobby Hano and Menwhopause guitarist Anup Kutty, the festival spans four magical days in the scenic Ziro Valley, perched 5,500 feet above sea level. The stunning backdrop of misty mountains and terraced landscapes makes it a favorite not just among Indian travelers but also international visitors.
In 2025, the Ziro Festival of Music is scheduled from 25th to 28th September, and is hosted by the Apatani tribe, native to this enchanting valley in Arunachal Pradesh.
During the festival, the golden-orange hues of ripe paddy fields dominate the landscape, turning the valley into a canvas of color. The surroundings—lush bamboo groves, kiwi orchards, and towering pine trees—further enhance the charm of Ziro Valley.
Each year, over 40 artists from diverse musical genres perform live, offering an eclectic mix of soundscapes. But Ziro Festival is far more than just a music event. The scenic drive to the valley, the refreshing weather, warm hospitality of the Apatanis, flavorful local cuisine and wine, vibrant campsites, and late-night jamming sessions all combine to create a uniquely immersive cultural experience.
Trip Highlights:
• Spend four nights enjoying an ultimate eco-friendly camping experience curated specially for this event.
• Be part of intimate jamming sessions and lively after-parties at the campsite.
• Explore the local culture through village walks and Apatani tribal tours.
• Try your hand at Apatani-style fishing and unwind with mud therapy in the paddy fields.
