Have you ever dreamt of a place where misty hills meet serene beaches and tranquil backwaters lead to breathtaking cliffs? Welcome to God’s Own Country – and this specially curated Kerala Tour Package takes you on a journey through the best of it, from lush green hill stations to golden beaches, perfect for families seeking a relaxing yet enriching holiday.
This Kerala tour package from Cochin is thoughtfully designed to give you a wholesome experience of nature, culture, and comfort. Your journey begins in Cochin (Kochi), a coastal city that fuses colonial charm with modern vibrancy. After a warm welcome at the airport or railway station, you’ll drive towards the rolling hills of Munnar, Kerala’s most beloved hill station. On the way, stop to marvel at the cascading Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, and soak in panoramic views from Karadippara Viewpoint. Munnar welcomes you with cool weather, tea-scented air, and unmatched scenic beauty.
In Munnar, spend the day discovering the area’s iconic attractions. Begin with a visit to Mattupetty Dam, where you can enjoy optional boating amidst emerald hills. Continue to the Tea Factory and Tea Museum, where you’ll learn about the journey from leaf to cup, followed by a visit to the scenic Echo Point, known for its natural acoustics and picture-perfect views. Whether you're sipping fresh chai or capturing photos of the mist-covered valleys, Munnar offers unforgettable moments for every traveler.
Next, the tour leads you to Thekkady, home to the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. This region is a haven for wildlife and nature lovers. Enjoy an optional boat safari or bamboo rafting session (at your own expense) through the calm waters of Periyar Lake, keeping your eyes open for elephants, deer, and exotic birds. Later, explore lush spice plantations and browse through vibrant local spice markets, perfect for picking up aromatic souvenirs.
From the jungle to the backwaters, your next stop is Alleppey, where you’ll experience the timeless charm of Kerala’s houseboats. Check into your deluxe shared houseboat and cruise along narrow canals lined with swaying palms, lush paddy fields, and glimpses of rural life. This tranquil experience is one of the highlights of any Kerala tour package for family—offering both relaxation and connection with Kerala’s traditional lifestyle.
After disembarking in the morning, the tour takes you further south to the coastal gem of Varkala, with a stop at Jatayu Earth’s Center en route. This unique attraction houses the world’s largest bird sculpture, paying homage to an epic tale from the Ramayana. Once in Varkala, prepare to be mesmerized. Walk along the famous Varkala Cliff, lined with boho cafes and art shops, or unwind on Papanasam Beach, known for its golden sands and spiritual aura. As the sun dips below the horizon, the cliffside lights up with life—making it one of the most enchanting spots in Kerala Varkala.
The next place to explore in your journey is Kovalam, Kerala’s famous beach destination. After check-in, spend the day at leisure on its beautiful shores. Explore Lighthouse Beach, where you can climb up for sweeping views of the coastline, or relax at Hawa Beach and Kovalam Beach, where palm trees dance in the breeze and waves kiss the shore. It’s the perfect place to unwind with your family before concluding your trip.
On the last day, you will be transferred to Trivandrum Airport, marking the end of your beautiful journey through Kerala’s hills, backwaters, and beaches. From the misty slopes of Munnar and the wild heart of Thekkady to the tranquil houseboats of Alleppey, the cliffside charm of Varkala, and the golden shores of Kovalam — this itinerary brings together the best of Kerala in one seamless, soul-soothing experience. Whether you’re seeking quiet moments with your family, a refreshing change of scenery, or simply a deeper connection with nature, this Kerala tour package for family offers memories you’ll cherish for years to come.

The best time to visit Munnar is from September to March when the weather is cool and perfect for sightseeing, trekking, and enjoying tea gardens. Winter (November to February) brings crisp mountain air and misty landscapes, making it ideal for couples and families. Avoid peak summer (April-May) if you dislike crowds. While monsoons turn Munnar lush, landslides and slippery roads can be a concern during heavy rainfall.

Its scenic canals, traditional houseboats, and tranquil villages make it a top pick for a peaceful getaway. You can experience Kerala's authentic culture and cuisine while cruising through its interconnected waterways. Kumarakom is another good option, especially for bird watchers. If you want a premium backwater experience, Alleppey is the go-to destination.
