Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, is located in the southern region of Nepal in Rupandehi District of Nepal. It has been awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the holiest spiritual sites in the world for Buddhism. The peaceful haven, where Siddhartha Gautama, the lord Buddha, was born in 623 B.C., attracts millions of visitors and pilgrims annually.

The Lumbini’s Ashokan Pillar, erected in 249 BC, confirms its historical effectiveness by archaeologists, built by the great Indian Emperor Ashoka who became a devout Buddhist while visiting the birthplace of the Buddha. Whether you’re a history buff, a spiritual seeker, or an avid traveler, Lumbini Nepal offers an outstanding journey through time and tranquility. The Lumbini region is mainly divided into three major territories – the Sacred Garden, the Monastic Zone, and the Cultural Centre (and New Lumbini Village).
