Important Terms & Conditions
As with any policy, there are a few important things to keep in mind. Here’s what you need to know:
- Coverage Limitations: This insurance is strictly limited to the designated Base-to-Base route. Coverage does not extend to overnight journeys, air travel, or the drop day. Check your itinerary to know your designated base.
- Eligibility: This policy is exclusively available to Indian nationals.
- Scope of Coverage: You are covered for medical expenses, medical evacuations, personal accidents, and daily allowances during hospitalization due to illness or injury. However, pre-existing conditions or conditions unrelated to the claim will not be covered.
- Mandatory Documentation for Claims: To process a claim, you must submit original copies of all required documents, including claim forms, doctor’s reports, original bills/receipts/prescriptions, and other relevant documentation. Claims without the necessary original documents may be denied.
- Incident Reporting & Claim Submission: Any incident that leads to a claim must be reported within 7 days. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the incident. Claims filed beyond this period will not be accepted.
- Claims Processing Timeline: After submitting all the necessary documents, the standard processing time for claims is approximately 30 days.
- Medical Emergency & Treatment Requirements: If an emergency arises, make sure to seek immediate medical attention from the nearest local doctor or hospital and obtain an original medical prescription. Delayed treatment may make your claim ineligible.
- Policy Coverage Limitations: This policy covers only the Base-to-Base route and does not include home-to-home travel. Additionally, flight-related contingencies (like baggage loss, flight delays, cancellations, etc.) are not covered.
- Exclusion Due to Intoxication: Claims will be deemed invalid if the insured is found to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substances at the time of the incident.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be handled according to the terms and conditions in the policy document.
