Located at a distance of 96 km from Hyderabad Mahabubnagar is a city in the Indian state of Telangana.

The city of the beloved is the meaning of Mahbubnagar. History is hazy; if it was named after the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad - Mahboob Ali Pasha, or had other interesting reasons. There are rich and colourful anecdotes about how the Kohinoor and the Golconda diamonds were mined at Mahbubnagar. 

 The city is famous for its ancient temples. A large number of ancient temples are present here to worship and most of the tourist come here to worship. The most interesting place to see in Mahabubnagar is the famous banyan tree called Pillalamrri, which is about 4 km from the town.
