Kashid offers a number of activities and places to visit around. If you are lucky enough and an early morning person then you can see Dolphins in the month of November to January. The beach offers a number of other activities like horse riding, swimming, lazying around in hammocks, parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, banana ride, etc.
The quite parts a perfect location to pitch a tent and stargaze along with a small bonfire.
Other popular tourist attractions near Kashid are Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary - home to a number of Indian species like leopard, giant squirrel, hyena, mouse deer, etc. Other historical places include Kanakeshwar fort, the Portuguese styled, and influenced Revdanda and Korlai fort and the famous water fort of Murud-Janjira. Other nearby beaches include Revdanda and Alibaugh beach.
An interesting fact related to the villagers of Korlai is that the people there speak a language that is unique to them, a Portuguese Creole called Kristi that is spoken nowhere else.
Though the language is fast diminishing due to the influence of Konkani, Marathi, and Hindi; Kristi is still spoken in some of the core areas of the village and in the small churches nearby.
