Baikunthpur is a town and a notified area committee in Koriya District in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Koriya district.

As of 2001census,[2]Baikunthpur had a population of 10,076. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Baikunthpur has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 57% of the males and 43% of females literate. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
