Window to the snow-crested Trishul, Nanda Devi, Nandakot and Panchuli peakes, there are very few places in the HImalayas whose beauty can be compared to that of Kausani- a picturesque hill station famous for its scenic splendor and its spectacular 300 km wide panaromic view of the Himalayas.

 

Khirsu is a small village about 15 kms from Pauri Garhwal and 125 kms from Lansdowne. At places, it passes through stretches of dense forest with no sunlight access. Many Langoors, in large groups, can be spotted on both sides of the road.

 

Locals informed us that if you drive through this stretch in the darkness of the night, you are sure to spot the Leopard/Tiger and other wild animals.The place Khirsu has never been very popular among tourists but with time and in search of cool, pleasant and pollution free environment by the tourists, made this place a very Popular And Famous Destination of hills.
