Kodachadri Peak Trek
Kodachadri peak is situated in the Mookambika forest of Shimoga district in Karnataka. At an altitude of 1343m it offers one of the best sunset in Western ghats. The path passes through thick forest of Western ghats and it usually takes around 3 hours to reach the peak. The trek starts from a small village called Karekatte, which is around 1 hour from Kollur.

2nd Day: Trek from Kodachadri to Karekatte and drive to Kollur

1st Day : Arrive in Kollur, drive to Karekatte and trek to Kodachadri Peak
Your trekking journey starts from Kollur. You will have to report at Kollur bus stand at 9.A.M. We then drive to Karekatte, which is 1-hour journey from Kollur. After arriving at Karekatte, we take a small break and then start our trek towards the local guest house. The guest house is around 6kms from Karekatte village. It takes around 3-4hours to reach the guest house from the village. Once we reach the guest house, we will explore the Shankaracharya temple and head to the peak for the sunset.

2nd Day : Trek from Kodachadri to Karekatte and drive to Kollur
Wake up early in the morning and to enjoy the beauty of Mountains we go to the sunrise point. After having breakfast, we start descending towards Karekatte village. It takes around 1-2 hours to reach the village. We trek through the same route that we use while trekking up. From the village, we drive to Kollur.
