Panchmarhi is a hill station located in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. It is also known as ‘Satpura ki Rani’ or the ‘Queen of Satpura’. It is located at an average altitude of 1,067 mts and its highest point goes up to 1,352mts, known as Dhupgarh. It is known for its lush green beauty and scenic landscapes all around which has a certain charm to attract the visitors. It is also recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere reserve and has many waterfalls in it.
Satpura Tiger Reserve, popularly known as STR, is a national park which covers an area of 524km². This national park is really unique as the terrain is extremely rugged with sandstone peaks, narrow gorges ravines and dense forests which encompass the national park. There are large varieties of animals which can be found in the national park are Indian Tiger, Sambar Deer, Spotted Deer, Wild Boar, Stag, Antelopes and much more.
