Within the walls of the inner city is the Maiden Tower. Of the eight stories of the tower the first three are believed to date back to the 7th or 6th century BC and were used as a fire temple, according to the latest research by UNESCO. If true, this could be the largest Zoroastrian temple in the world.
Then after that we move to visit, The Palace of Shirvans – Shirvanshakh Sarayi – is a remarkable example of medieval architecture in Azerbaijan that dates back to the middle of the 15th century.
The Old city consists of many house-museums of famous cultural figures, the house of the ceramics museum Mir Teymur Mammadov, the house of the famous artist Ali Shamsi, as well as souvenir shops and restaurants with traditional national cuisine
Arguably one of the coolest things about Baku is its neighboring Caspian Sea, which isn't really a sea but the largest saltwater lake in the world. It is suggested to enjoy the view of the entire Baku city beside the Caspian Sea from the Upland Park viewpoint and stay a bit longer to attend the light show which takes place daily at 8:30 PM.

A fire blazes continuously from natural gas deposits in the hillside. It is said to be that flames have been burning on this peninsula since the 13th Century (65 years).
These fires gave Azerbaijan the moniker “Land of Fire.”
